Phrasing and getting information
I've learned that phrasing searches makes a big difference in finding certain resources for the project. An example was when I was searching for information on Disneyland and it's annual rate of return. When I kept searching, I couldn't find anything on the topic. Then once I asked Ms.Bassette for help, she showed me that instead of searching for Disneyland, I should be searching for Disney. The reason was because Disneyland is a branch of Disney, therefore in order to find the rate of return the best way would be to find the origin of the company.

I find this post very relatable. I have tried searching for something without it coming up. Then, when I added or deleted a few words, I was able to find what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing this information though.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, when researching the rate of return of the company it's important to use their full name. For example if you're doing BMW, use Bayerische Motoren Werke and not just BMW. Or in your case, not the place, but the company.
ReplyDeleteI also came across this problem. Then I asked my friend and she told me to search up the "dividend yield" of my company.
